Give Me Something to Trust

Trust needs evidence. In life insurance, the evidence is the math, on one page, in writing.

Our 3 guiding principles (“Compared to what?” “Review the Policy Contract” and “Put it in Writing”) were selected for a simple reason: they give consumers something they could trust. A client can’t trust what they can’t see, and in our business the evidence is the math. So that’s what this article is about. One page that shows what life insurance is, what each kind costs, what it buys, and what is and isn’t guaranteed.

Many of the advisors in our Trusted Advisor Network now use this page religiously. When it’s time to discuss product, this is what they show their clients. Here is the bottom line. The page says, without the advisor having to: you can trust me. Whatever stories the client has heard about life insurance agents stop mattering. The advisor has handed the controls to the client, and now it’s the client’s turn. Before I show you how, let me first share my prediction of what happens when you use the Diversified Portfolio Approach (DPA™).
